Sometimes you have your heart set on making something and you get to the store and you cannot find what you were looking for. Today I was looking cauliflower and they were out. But they had Brussels Sprouts. Brussels Sprouts are chockfull of fiber (4 grams per 1 cup of cooked Brussels sprouts), protein (also 4 grams per cup), potassium, calcium, and vitamins C, A, and K! Whew that’s a lot of goodness packed in a little package.
For this recipe all you have to do is preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees, trim the excess from the bottom, cut in half, toss in oil, sea salt and black pepper. Bake for 10 minutes, take the basket out and toss the Brussels Sprouts around, bake for another 5 minutes, and repeat until they are a crispy brown color but not black. The cooking time will vary depending on the size of your Brussels sprouts.
For a sriracha aoli all you will need is some vegenaise (I prefer the soy free kind), unsweetened plant milk, sriracha, and agave. The air fryer makes the whole Brussels Sprout crispy and flaky. The sauce is divine and together you have an exquisite side dish to add to any dinner. Thank you for reading and if you enjoyed this recipe please leave a comment and share with your friends.
